I studied psychology (occupational psychologist, 1989), and recently I did a Masters of Management and Organization (MMO University of Tilburg, 2010). After heading Corporate Communication and Marketing departments in several companies (Public Transport, Insurance and Police) for several years, I see myself as a marketing and communications expert.
As I love to travel, I have quite a lot of international experience. Born in Versailles, working for a year as an au pair in Ireland, I met my husband while travelling for a year in South America. I now work as a strategic advisor to the board of directors of the Dutch police force and as such have a lot of governing experience being an advisor and project leader working with mayors, representatives of the department of Safety and Justice, and other organizations in the field of Public Safety. Working mostly in male dominated companies, I am personally committed to the advancement of women.
In the Dutch NFA (VVAO), I am a mentor for young members. I live in Amsterdam with my husband and two children.

I am deeply committed to gender equality, that, to my understanding, means equal participation of women and men in all spheres and at all levels of society, and also includes equal share of family responsibilities and equal opportunities to earn equal salaries for equal work.
I am convinced that these issues can only be realised on the basis of parity democracy, for which women have to fight in a solidarious manner.
